The FireGrid suite of cloud-connected applications, part of the MSA Connected Firefighter Platform, is a safety tool that enhances existing department incident management procedures and enables incident commanders to make faster, more informed, and confident decisions during live events.

FireGrid Monitor now features in-app notifications and audible alarms for MSA G1™ SCBAs with telemetry and when paired with LUNAR® Connected Devices. In the high-noise and high-stress environment of the fireground, FireGrid Monitor does not require constant visual attention. It can now be listened to by incident commanders for SCBA notifications and alarms.

 How do in-app notifications and audible alarms work?

•  During a live event, an incident commander using FireGrid Monitor receives notification of SCBA motion, manual, and pressure alarms that need their attention.
• Audible alarms play until a notification is acknowledged in the application.
• Tapping on a notification navigates to a Team Details view, from which information about the firefighter associated with the notification is highlighted for two seconds.
• Once a notification is acted upon, it is moved to a history section of the notification center within FireGrid Monitor.
• All active and past notifications are stored in the notification center, for on-scene and post-scene review.

 Note: This in-app notification and audible alarms feature is available today on iOS platform devices.
