Your radio is your lifeline on the fireground. When properly paired to your G1 SCBA, critical communications come through your facepiece loud and clear – helping you stay connected when conditions are at their toughest.

To make setup easier, MSA provides step-by-step radio pairing guides designed to help your department successfully connect third-party radios to the G1 SCBA. These guides walk you through:

  • Radio configuration settings that are required for pairing, connecting, and operating your radio with a G1 SCBA.
  • Common audio routing options available to choose from. Options may vary depending on your radio model, accessories, radio feature licenses, etc.
  • Suggestions based on testing results and from feedback from other customer experiences.

Pairing guides are available for the following radios:

  • BKR 5000
  • Harris® XL-185P & XL-200P
  • KENWOOD NEXEDGE®
  • KENWOOD VIKING®
  • Motorola APX™
  • Motorola APX NEXT & N70 Series™ (for G1 SCBA XR Edition, NFPA 1970 2025 only)

Always refer to your radio manufacturer’s manuals and support resources for programming details. And just as important: work closely with your radio programming engineer to program and test your radios before putting them into service.
