Stafford Fire Department in Texas put their new G1 SCBAs into service in the spring of 2026 after an extensive evaluation process.

“This was not an administrative decision. This was a decision that was made by our people on the street,” said Assistant Chief Mark VanBerschot. “It was a decision that was made for several different reasons and all of them played a part.”
