The Cairns 1836 Fire Helmet accommodates a 5 3/8 to 8 3/8 hat size. For reference, Cairns 1010 and Cairns 1044 Fire Helmets are 6 3/8 to 8 3/8.

The Cairns 1836 Fire Helmet is approximately 8% lighter compared to the Cairns 1044 Fire Helmet (53.6 oz. vs. 58.7 oz.).

Is the ride height reduced on the Cairns 1836 Fire Helmet?

The Cairns 1836 Fire Helmet is designed with a 0.5” reduction in ride height compared to previous versions of Cairns traditional fire helmets.
